Allure's EIC Michelle Lee discusses diversity and YouTube


In her latest interview, Allure's recently appointed EIC talks about her new vision for the magazine, which includes creating a "more approachable look" and shooting "more people, more interesting women." As for how Allure.com will compete with bloggers and vloggers, Lee stated that Allure.com is actively looking for different vloggers to work with, rather than competing with YouTube. Amazon launches seven in-house fashion brands


Just last week, WWD reported that Amazon quietly put out job listings for fashion industry professionals. And on Tuesday, a KeyBanc Capital analyst noted that Amazon has launched seven brands: Franklin & Freeman, Franklin Tailored, James & Erin, Lark & Ro, North Eleven, Scout + Ro and Society New York. The lines cover a range of categories, including men's, women's and children's. Amazon has yet to confirm. {WWD}


Oprah partners with eBay to auction off more than 200 items


Beginning March 1, Oprah will auction off more than 200 pieces from her closet in partnership with eBay, with all proceeds going to The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls. Items include Prada bags, Chanel jackets, Valentino bags and more. Capucine Safyurtlu, former French Vogue’s fashion & market editor, is appointed creative director of a Chinese footwear brand


Capucine Safyurtlu has been appointed the creative director of Stella Luna, a footwear brand from China. "The brand didn't have what you call a DNA, so we had to work from scratch," said Safyurtlu. The former editor redesigned all the heels and shapes, and introduced the V-shaped vamp as Stella Luna's signature shoe. She'll present her first collection during Paris Fashion Week. {WWD}


Kendall Jenner talks about bleaching her eyebrows


In her latest website post, Kendall Jenner talks about the various ways she's been asked to alter her appearances. Her least favorite request? That would have to be bleaching her eyebrows.
